Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what Dead Signal collects, why, and the choices you have. Dead Signal is made by Laliora Gaming in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ("we"). Questions: support@laliora.com.
In short
- We collect only what the game needs to work, to improve, and to show ads.
- We don't ask for your real name, email, phone number, contacts, location or photos.
- We don't sell your data.
- You can delete your data at any time.
What we collect
- A random player ID created by the game when you first play. It isn't your phone's hardware ID and isn't linked to your name or phone number.
- Your story progress, saved on our servers so you can continue on a new phone (with a transfer code).
- Your choices, as anonymous votes, to show what other players chose. Votes aren't linked to your name.
- Invite and unlock codes you use.
- Gameplay events, such as episodes started and endings reached, to improve the game. They contain no names or contact details.
- Crash reports, with the app version, device model and Android version. They're deleted after 30 days.
- Your device's advertising ID, collected by Google AdMob to show and measure ads (see Advertising).
We don't collect your contacts, precise location, photos, files, phone number or email address.
Share cards you choose to save are written to your Pictures folder. The game never reads your photos.
How we use it
- To run the game: saving progress, online play, leaderboards and the features you use.
- To keep the game fair and safe: preventing cheating and acting on reports.
- To fix crashes and improve the game, using anonymous gameplay events.
- To show ads that keep the game free.
Who can see it
In Two Signals co-op, your choices are sent to the other player in the room. There's no chat between players.
We share data only with these service providers, which act for us or show ads:
- Google AdMob, for ads
- Our hosting provider, which runs our servers
We don't sell or rent your data. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location based on your IP address, and information about the ads you see, to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice later in the game's settings. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Read how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Notifications
Story notifications are local notifications set on your phone and always come from Dead Signal; we don't send push messages. You can turn them off at any time.
Where data is stored and how it's protected
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on servers run by our hosting provider, which may be outside Ethiopia. Access is limited to the people who run the game.
How long we keep it
We keep your game data while you play. Crash reports are deleted after 30 days. If you delete your data, we remove your account and the data linked to it within 30 days. Some anonymous statistics, which can't identify you, may be kept.
Deleting your data
In the game, open Settings → Delete my data, or use the data deletion page. Uninstalling the game removes the data stored on your phone, but not the data on our servers, so please use one of these options too.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing support@laliora.com. We'll answer within 30 days.
Children
The game is for adults aged 18 and over and asks for your age when you first open it. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll also tell you in the game.
